Elior UK’s care and retirement sector caterer Caterplus has secured a £25m five-year contract with RMBI Care Co. to provide services at 13 of its cares homes across England and Wales.
It comes after the end of RMBI Care Co.’s five-year contract with Compass brand White Oaks, which was announced in July 2018.
The partnership with Caterplus, which is due to start next month, will see the foodservice company managing a team of over 120 staff across RMBI Care Co.’s homes, serving 235,000 meals to 1,000 residents on a daily basis.
Caterplus has committed to using fresh, seasonable ingredients to ensure the preparation of nutritious food, as well as planning, managing and delivering regular themed events.
Meals will be offered in dining areas, communal lounges and the residents’ rooms.
Laura Tighe, managing director of Caterplus, said: “We are thrilled to have won this contract and to have the opportunity to create delicious and healthy food choices for the residents at 13 RMBI Care Co.
