Cameron House back in owner's hands but investigation ongoing

Cameron House hotel has been returned to its owner to begin restoration, however the police investigation is still ongoing.

Police Scotland confirmed the property has been handed back to its owner, American private equity firm KSL Capital Partners, adding it has no further updates on the investigation into the fire that killed two people last year.

Two guests died after fire broke out at the 136-bedroom, five-AA-star hotel on Loch Lomond in West Dunbartonshire on 18 December. The building was extensively damaged just months after the completion of a £4m refurbishment project.

A "careful and sensitive" restoration project will be ongoing at the hotel until autumn 2019.
