Restaurant managers and other leading front of house staff are being invited to compete for the title of UK Restaurant Manager of the Year 2019.
The competition, which is organised by the Institute of Hospitality and the Academy of Food & Wine Service, aims to reward the best professionals in the industry as well as promote front of house as a genuine and exciting career.
Anyone who is a restaurant manager or undertakes an equivalent job without holding the title can enter. Candidates should have responsibility for business performance, managing people, staff training and co-ordinating the operation of a restaurant.
The winner will follow in the footsteps of Kieran McLoughlin, who won the 2018 title earlier this year. McLoughlin was restaurant manager at Gravetye Manor, near East Grinstead, West Susses, and today is general manager of Hide Ground in London.
The closing date for entries is 5 November, with the semi-finals and final held on 7 January at the Savoy hotel, London.
