The Cairn Group, which operates 33 UK hotels, is to reopen the Majestic Hotel Harrogate as the DoubleTree by Hilton Harrogate after a £15m refurbishment.
Once complete at the end of 2019, the hotel will include 170 bedrooms, a spa and conference and events space for up to 500 delegates.
Cairn Group director Aneil Handa said: âWe are excited to announce that the highly regarded DoubleTree by Hilton brand is coming to Harrogate. This partnership will enhance our iconic hotelâs current offering and we are very much looking forward to working with Hilton and seeing the finished results.â
Patrick Fitzgibbon, senior vice-president, development, EMEA, Hilton, added: âA Victorian landmark, this hotel is a fantastic addition to our DoubleTree by Hilton portfolio. The hotel has been a paragon of Harrogate hospitality for more than 100 years and, following its renovation, will become the first choice for hotel accommodation in the upmarket spa town.â
