BrewDog’s first UK mini-hotel is opening in Aberdeen next week, complete with shower beers in every room.
Starting from £75 a night, the BrewDog Kennels – being built above its Castlegate bar on Union Street in Aberdeen – will have six rooms stocked full of the brewery’s craft beers. Guests will be able to opt for either the four-person Brewmaster suite or the two-person Punk studio.
In a tribute to its name, the hotel will be fully dog-friendly – for no extra charge – with dog beds and treats on offer.
Guests will also receive a welcome check-in beer shortly after arriving, not to mention the option to opt for food and beer to be delivered direct to their room from the bar and kitchen below.
Those who fancy a drink while they lather up can too – with a mini fridge filled with beer in the shower of all the rooms.
Rooms will also offer extra touches including bath robes, a beer book library, board games, toiletries, French-press coffee and even a record player/vinyl and guitar.
Rental bikes are also available to explore the city.
BrewDog’s co-founder James Wyatt confirmed that Aberdeen and Columbus, US, will be the first in a series of BrewDog Kennels, with others following in due course in the city centres of Paris, Manchester, Berlin and London.
“Our BrewDog Kennels are a revolution in accommodation, sparked by too much time spent in immediately forgettable hotel rooms,” he explained.
“We firmly believe that where you stay in a new city should be your home from home, so we’ve brought the spirit of our Dog House hotel and its reverence for great beer to a new series of mini-hotels.
“And what beer start for the BrewDog Kennels than our home city?”
The hotel lets you book some of the beer excursions BrewDog offers in Aberdeen from your room too.
"Aberdeen is an incredible place for craft beer so we have upped the ante with our own take on accommodation,” Wyatt concluded.
"To paraphrase the song: you can check out but you may never want to leave.”
Reservations are now open with availability from November 20.
