Brakes adds 600 lines to light equipment portfolio

National wholesaler Brakes has added over 600 new pieces of light equipment to its front of house and back of house portfolios.

Customers can add light equipment to their usual Brakes food and drink order and receive it as part of their regular delivery with no minimum order value.

Mandy Van Hagen, Brakes marketing sector manager, said: “Cutting down the number of orders that need to be placed, processed and received saves caterers valuable time and money and helps to make them more efficient. Furthermore, we know from previous experience that when hospitality venues reopen after a lockdown they are obviously looking to keep staff and customers as safe as possible and consolidating their food and light equipment order so that they have fewer delivery drivers coming to the kitchen door is a big help in this respect.”

The products, which take Brakes' light equipment category to a total of 800 items, include essential items from food preparation to storage solutions, table service to buffet displays and chefswear to janitorial lines.
