Bovingdons Catering has taken over the catering contract at the Butchers’ Hall in the City of London and will be responsible for the complete commercialisation of the newly refurbished livery venue including marketing, selling and delivering events.
The multi-year contract is worth £10m in turnover and sees Bovingdons take over from previous contract holder Life’s Kitchen.
Major general Jeff Mason, the clerk for the Worshipful Company of Butchers, said: “This is a very exciting time for Butchers’ Hall and our customers as we look forward to being fully engaged with our new enduring partners Bovingdons who will bring innovation, class, elan and real value for money in managing our venue.”
Will Simmonds, director of Bovingdons Catering, added: "We are honoured to have been appointed as the sole caterers to this unique venue in the heart of the city. Butchers’ Hall has an extraordinary range of versatile and inspiring spaces for events. The Worshipful Company of Butchers has a reputation of providing the best hospitality and we are honoured to partner with them.”
The deal represents Bovingdons’ first livery hall contract, adding to its portfolio of sites in and around London which include Fulham Palace, Strawberry Hill House, Nonsuch Mansion, Little Ship Club and Grand Junction, as well as high street café brand Flotsam and Jetsam.
