The five-AA-star Bovey Castle in Dartmoor National Park, Devon, has promoted Greg Fehler to resort director, and Francisco Macedo to general manager.
Fehler (left) had held the position of general manager since joining the hotel in 2014 and has been promoted to the newly created position. He previously held general manager positions at the Welcombe hotel in Stratford upon Avon; the Oxford Belfry; and Whittlebury Hall near Towcester in Northamptonshire.
Macedo joined Bovey Castle in 2015 as hotel manager, having formerly undertaken roles as operations manager at Stapleford Park, near Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, and the Manor at Weston on the Green in Oxfordshire; as well as being restaurant and bars manager at the Luton Hoo hotel.
The Eden Hotel Collection acquired Bovey Castle from property investment company Delancey in 2014 and embarked on an extensive £10m investment at the hotel. Set in 275 acres of countryside, the flagship property has 60 bedrooms, 22 lodges, an 18-hole championship golf course, tennis courts and an Elan Spa.
The hotel was awarded five stars by the AA last year and its flagship restaurant the Great Western was recently awarded three AA rosettes.
