Norn restaurant in Edinburgh is being relaunched under a new name with Norn's former head chef at the helm.
The restaurant closed when chef-owner Scott Smith left earlier this year following a split with his business partner, who is backing the new Borough concept. Smith has since opened his own restaurant Fhior elsewhere in the city.
Smith's former head chef Darren Murray (pictured left) will be head chef of the new concept when the restaurant opens on 7 July, joined by Archie Kyle (right), formerly of Fishers in Leith, as restaurant manager.
Borough will serve contemporary European cuisine within a relaxed, neighbourhood atmosphere. The menu will comprise small and large plates with an extensive selection of wines.
Murray said: "With Michelin-star restaurants, gin distilleries and coffee roasters rubbing shoulders with one another, Leith has quickly earnt a coveted reputation as one of Europe's most exciting foodie boroughs.
"It goes without saying that the Borough team can't wait to add to this vibrant scene with a dining experience that's comfortably woven into the neighbourhood; combining a friendly, convivial atmosphere with contemporary cuisine inspired by seasonal sourcing and partnerships with local suppliers."
