Boparan Restaurant Group is to open a 180-seat food court concept combining five of its brands into one space.
Named the Restaurant Hub, it will launch at Sainsbury’s superstore on Selly Oak Boulevard in Birmingham on 28 July.
It will feature the new Caffe Carluccio’s concept, which launched at Sainsbury’s St Albans last month, Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK), Slim Chickens, Ed’s Easy Diner and Harry Ramsden’s in collaboration with Deep Blue Restaurants.
Diners can mix and match dishes from any of the brands for eat-in, takeaway or home delivery orders.
Dishes will include burgers from GBK, buttermilk chicken tenders from Slim Chickens, hot dogs and breakfasts from Ed’s Easy Diner, and coffee, pasties and sandwiches from Caffe Carluccio’s.
Satnam Leihal, managing director of Boparan, said the company has “ambitious growth plans” and is actively looking for city centre, travel hub and neighbourhood sites for new openings across its brands.
Last month Boparan said it wants to mount a challenge to some of the UK’s biggest high street coffee brands by rolling out its Caffe Carluccio’s concept to up to 500 sites across the country over the next five years.
Sainsbury's and Boparan have said they will listen to customer feedback on new brands before deciding on any next steps.
