The team behind Benares fine dining restaurant in London’s Mayfair is set to launch street food restaurant the Indian Alley at Camden Market next month.
Situated in a Grade I-listed building in the Stables Market and due to open early August, the Indian Alley will be the first F&B concept to launch in Camden Market post-lockdown following the market’s relaunch last month and joining more than 900 traders at the site. The plan is to refurbish the restaurant in early 2021.
LabTech, owner of Camden Market, has also signed plant-based sustainable burger chain Neat Burger, backed by FIA Formula One World Champion Lewis Hamilton, and Spanish-inspired crêperie Prep’ La Crepe.
Executive chef of the Indian Alley, Sameer Taneja, said: “We are thrilled to be opening the Indian Alley at Camden Market. Our mission has always been to remain unique by changing the way people perceive and experience Indian cuisine and broadening our business by opening in Camden supports our goal. This area of North London has always appealed to us because of the diverse food and beverage brands on offer in the market. We are confident our restaurant will complement the offering here and look forward to welcoming our first visitors in this part of London.”
Maggie Milosavljevic, LabTech’s F&B commercial director, added: “Since reopening Camden Market has continued to support all our traders. Now we are fully reopen and serving our local community again, footfall is growing and this is the ideal time to be adding these three independent food and beverage brands. The Indian Alley, Neat Burger and Prep’ La Crepe all have something distinctive to bring and we are excited to welcome them all to our thriving market in North London.”
