Belfast Titanic Quarter's Hamilton Dock hotel development site for sale

The Hamilton Dock hotel development site at Belfast's Titanic Quarter has been put up for sale, having previously received planning permission for a 244-bedroom hotel.

Located adjacent to the Titanic Belfast, within the Titanic Quarter, the site received full planning permission in 2010 for five years, but it expired after five years. The site is expected to go for at least £2m.

James Eyre, commercial director at Titanic Quarter, said: "This is a significant opportunity for hotel developers and operators to progress a flagship hotel in the heart of Titanic Quarter.

"Over the past decade of development and regeneration, Titanic Quarter has evolved into a world-class tourism destination, an international exhibition and conferencing location, a hub of local, national and international businesses, an educational and media campus, and a residential community."

David Wright, director at CBRE, added: "Belfast is experiencing a significant increase in hotel development interest, fuelled by the current under-supply of hotel rooms as well as increased leisure tourism and corporate activity.

"The Hamilton Dock Hotel site provides a prime development opportunity and will be a welcome addition to Titanic Quarter and Belfast."
