Barbican Brasserie by Searcys has opened on the second floor of London’s Barbican arts centre, taking over from the Italian restaurant Osteria.
Searcys launched Osteria in 2016 in collaboration with chef Anthony Demetre.
The group's head chef Clifton D’Souza has curated a seasonal menu for the new restaurant featuring British classics and European dishes with a modern twist.
Starters include pan-seared scallops with beetroot and tapioca crisps; mains feature nduja stuffed chicken roulade with leek, borlotti beans, marsala; and desserts include dark chocolate and matcha cannoli.
The food menu has also been paired to a wine list that features Searcys’ signature Selected Cuvée Brut and Rosé.
Barbican Brasserie by Searcys offers lunch, dinner and pre-theatre dining, with the option to have a two-course meal for £26 and a three-course meal for £31.
Searcys is the UK’s oldest British caterer and holds residences at Blenheim Palace, the Pump Room at the Roman Baths, the Gherkin and St Pancras International.
