Aryzta Food Solutions donates 2,500 mince pies to charity

Foodservice specialist Aryzta Food Solutions has donated more than 2,500 of its luxury mince pies to Christmas charity events.

The first beneficiary was Operation Smile's ‘Carols by Candlelight', held at London's Grosvenor Chapel. Proceeds raised during the event will go on to provide children born with cleft palates in the developing world with the free surgeries they need, and supporting the charity's work throughout the year.

The second beneficiary was charity Walking with the Wounded, which held three ‘Walking Home for Christmas' events in London, Manchester and Glasgow. The proceeds from each event go towards helping wounded and vulnerable service men and women and homeless people regain their independence through employment.

Aryzta Food Solutions' UK brand and communications manager Paul Whitely said: "Christmas is a time for giving and so we're proud to have lent our support to these two fantastic initiatives helping them to help others less fortunate both overseas and closer to home. Each event proved incredibly successful in galvanising people to donate. We're delighted to have played a small role in that and pleased that the mince pies went down so well."
