Arora Group and Hilton sign deal for two airport hotels

The Arora Group has signed an agreement to operate two hotels under Hilton brands at Heathrow and Gatwick airports.

The company is currently developing a 360-bedroom hotel at Heathrow Terminal 2 (pictured), which will open in the New Year as a Hilton Garden Inn. It will be the only hotel with a direct link to the Queen's Terminal.

At the same time, the 432-bedroom Arora Hotel Gatwick/Crawley is to undergo a major refurbishment before re-opening in winter 2018 as a DoubleTree by Hilton.

Surinder Arora, founder and chairman of the Arora Group, said: “It is a pleasure to work with Hilton, and we are honoured that our track record for delivering premium service for hotel guests as a trusted partner has been recognised in this agreement.”

Patrick Fitzgibbon, senior vice-president, development, EMEA, Hilton, added:
“Hilton’s continued partnership with Arora Group at the UK’s two busiest passenger hubs solidifies our position as the fastest growing hotelier at European airports, with 50 hotels trading or under development at key transport centres.”

The Arora Group owns 13 hotels and has a further three properties under development.
