Chef Anton Mosimann to step back from his business

Chef Anton Mosimann has announced he will be stepping back from his business at the end of the year, with his sons to take over the reins.

Philipp and Mark Mosimann, who became joint managing directors of Mosimann’s private members’ club in Belgravia in 2007, will be taking over the London club which celebrates its 33rd anniversary this month, as well as the other Mosimann enterprises, including the international catering business.

After 60 years in the industry, Mosimann will not retire completely. He and his wife Kathrin will divide their time between London and Switzerland and he will focus on his museum overlooking Lake Geneva.

Mosimann is known for his pioneering ‘cuisine naturelle’ and having been appointed maître chef des cuisines of the Dorchester hotel in London aged just 28, where he was awarded two Michelin stars.

His accolades include an OBE in 2004 and the Cateys Lifetime Achievement Award in 2004.
