The Annual Hotel Conference (AHC), which was scheduled to take place at the Manchester Convention Centre on 21-22 September, has been cancelled and will be replaced with a virtual event.
An email sent to attendees said: “Unfortunately, due to the ongoing Covid-19 circumstances, we’re not in a position to bring over 1,000 members of the AHC community together to learn, network and be inspired.
“We’re frustrated to be another email into your inbox with sad news, but the health and safety of each of our attendees, partners, clients and employees is and always will be our top priority.
"The industry we are all proud to belong to has been devastated, yet over the last few months, we’ve witnessed extraordinary displays of solidarity from the hospitality industry and seen organisations use the time to draw breath, reflect and adapt to trends that have accelerated as a result of the pandemic. It has been an incredibly challenging period for us all, but we are filled with hope and optimism for the future.”
The AHC 2021 will take place on 27 and 28 September 2021 and this year’s event will be replaced by a virtual webinar, the AHC Reimagined: Reconnecting UK Hospitality, on 8 October. More information will be released over the coming weeks.
