Anne Lomas has been appointed director of restaurants at the Savoy hotel in London.
Lomas will oversee the Simpson's in the Strand restaurant, adjacent to the hotel, as well as the less formal Kaspar's at the Savoy, the Thames Foyer tea lounge, in-room dining and luxury coffee shop Melba at the Savoy.
The five-red-AA-star, 267-bedroom property has promoted Lomas from her former position as general manager of Simpson's in the Strand, a role during which she oversaw the refurbishment of the venue.
Raoul Duclos, the Savoy's director of operations, said: "Anne is a positive and gregarious individual who has shown herself to be an incredible leader as general manager of Simpson's in the Strand over the past two years.
"Alongside developing the business, Anne has also developed an outstanding team, nurturing colleagues and focusing on career progression. We look forward to seeing Anne bring her personable charm and expertise to this exciting new role."
In September 2018 the hotel announced the appointment of Fabrice Lasnon as its new executive chef, as the hotel looks to plot a new culinary course.
