Albion & East to open third London site at Old Street

Albion & East, which operates London sites Martello Hall in Hackney and Canova Hall in Brixton, will be opening a third site at Old Street's Bower quarter.

The new site will showcase the group’s Italian-American-influenced, all-day menus, and its bakery will make artisan breads and cakes daily for all three sites; while the gin distillery will host gin-blending masterclasses.

Albion & East managing director Sarah Weir said: “The whole team are very excited to be opening in Old Street. The location is a natural fit for our business and the space we have is truly special.”

Martello Hall opened in December 2016, followed by Canova Hall (pictured) in May 2017. Pizzas and Italian-American sharing dishes are offered alongside local craft beer, wine on tap, gin made on site and a bespoke cocktail list.

Inspired by the modern, all-day venues in the US, Martello Hall and Canova Hall have a relaxed atmosphere and are both located in restored historic buildings, Canova Hall within a former Grade II-listed work hall and Martello Hall an East End pub renovation.
