Alain Ducasse at the Dorchester not affected by end of partnership with Hôtel Plaza Athénée

The Alain Ducasse at the Dorchester restaurant in London will not be affected by the ending of Ducasse’s management of the restaurant at the Dorchester Collection’s Hôtel Plaza Athénée in Paris.

Representatives of the Dorchester Collection and Ducasse said the chef’s management agreement with the Paris three-starred restaurant, in place since 2000, will not be renewed “by mutual agreement” when it expires on 30 June.

The two will continue their relationship in Paris with Le Meurice Alain Ducasse and in London with the three-Michelin-starred Alain Ducasse at the Dorchester.

Ducasse, winner of the 2020 Cateys International Outstanding Achievement Award, said: “We are delighted to continue our close relationship with Dorchester Collection. We have ambitious plans both in Paris at Le Meurice with executive chef Amaury Bouhours and in London with executive chef Jean-Philippe Blondet.”

The five-red-AA-star, 250-bedroom Dorchester hotel on London’s Park Lane has opened today in line with the reopening of indoor hospitality in England, including hotels. It is also operating a rooftop dining experience overseen by executive chef Mario Perera.

The Dorchester Collection also leases the five-red-AA-star, 46-bedroom 45 Park Lane and five-red-AA-star, 70-bedroom Coworth Park in Ascot, Berkshire. Its portfolio includes properties in Los Angeles, Rome, Milan and Paris.
