Adam Handling has appointed Chris Underwood group pastry chef to oversee operations across his restaurants.
Underwood (pictured left) will oversee Frog by Adam Handling in Covent Garden, the Frog Hoxton opening in July, and the Belmond Cadogan hotel opening in Chelsea at the end of this year.
Underwood was previously estate head pastry chef at Beaverbrook hotel in Surrey and head pastry chef of Fera at Claridge's in London.
He said: "It's such an exciting time to be working with Adam and I'm looking forward to moving the pastry section forward and setting trends whilst still keeping the individual personality of all the operations."
Handling (pictured right) added: "It's amazing to have Chris join the team as group pastry chef. He's had such a rich career already and I'm looking forward to seeing what we can build together across the venues. Each location has its own identity and I've no doubt Chris's knowledge and skills will benefit each of them."
Chef and restaurateur Handling announced that he would be relocating his Shoreditch restaurant to a larger 60-cover site in Hoxton last month, and was also appointed executive chef of the Belmond Cadogan to oversee all food and beverage across the property. Handling recently appointed Daniel Watkins executive chef to oversee his venues.
Handling opened his first restaurant, the Frog E1 in Shoreditch, in June 2016, and his flagship restaurant, Frog by Adam Handling, in Covent Garden in September 2017.
