F&B sales and marketing manager, the Bloomsbury hotel, London
Nominator Daniel Healey, hotel manager
Proudest moment
Biggest inspiration âMy father was a hotelier and my mother was a luxury travel agent and together they taught me the importance of building great relationships. At the hotel, Daniel Healey has helped me reach my potential.â
Ambition âIn the short term, to take a regional or group level role marketing F&B at a higher level in London or internationally. One day I would like to launch my own business.â
As F&B sales and marketing manager, Joshua Craddockâs responsibilities are not for the faint-hearted. He looks after all PR, sales and marketing across two bars, two all-day restaurants, room service, mini bars and events.
Since joining in 2015, Craddock, who manages a team of three, has pushed F&B revenues up from £3m to £6m. Highlights include the launch of Dalloway Terrace in 2016, where he boosted sales from £6,000 to £190,000 a month and attracted 50,000 Instagram followers. This was largely down to him forging partnerships with, for instance, Great British Bake Off winner Candice Brown, Gizzi Erskine and Nordic cook Signe Johansen.
Craddock also put the Bloomsbury Club on the map with a series of collaborations with bars around the world, with the result that revenue shot up from £14,000 to £75,000 a month and named a Top 50 Time Out bar in London.
Outside of his day job, he mentors two students from Oxford Brookes University (which he attended while managing the bar at Malmaison Oxford) and is a member of the London Restaurant Network and CODE Hospitality. He also recently completed the Prince project management qualification and achieved a diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, sponsored by the hotel.
