With constantly shifting market conditions, filling hotel rooms is by no means an exact science, and the goal of finding the right number of guests at the right price at the right time is a never-ending dance. Revenue management software can take the weight off manual decisions, looking at your pricing range and occupancy and adjusting both to fit. And with many users reporting an increase in revenue in a few months, there can’t be many hotels where software with this sort of insight isn’t already indispensable.

Cendyn Grouprev sets rates for group bookings 

What is it? Cendyn’s Grouprev specifically covers group hotel bookings.

 

What does it do? It is a demand-based group pricing and forecasting tool that helps hotels maximise the value of their event spaces and group business. Grouprev provides insights and recommendations that enable sales managers to respond quickly to requests for proposals (RFP). 

 

In October 2024 Cendyn acquired Knowland, a provider of data-as-a-service intelligence on meetings and events for hospitality businesses.

Price rooms responsively with Duetto

What is it? Duetto Open Pricing enables hotel revenue teams to optimise segments, discounts and rate packages independently, based on market demand.

 

What does it do? Hotel rooms are optimally priced for each day, each guest segment and each room type, driving higher room rates and increased profitability.

 

Duetto says hotels can flex unlimited incremental price points on their demand curve, regardless of the best available rate price, and keep selling even during peak periods. In addition, Duetto has specific products for selling group business and function spaces.

 

What the industry says More than 600 hotels use Duetto in partnership with hospitality cloud service Mews. Properties that use Mews and Duetto in combination have reportedly seen an average revenue increase of 6% in the first year and a further 10% revenue per available room (revpar) increase after that.

 

Duetto’s revenue strategy app GameChanger is also now available on the Oracle Hospitality Integration Platform (OHIP), making it accessible to hotels using Opera Cloud.

Stretch your horizons with RoomPriceGenie

What is it? RoomPriceGenie is a revenue management tool that claims to boost revenue by 22% and save time with an automated revenue management system. Prices start from €107 (£89) per property per month.

 

What does it do? It allows hotels to set minimum and maximum prices for their rooms and to up to 18 months of future pricing. RoomPriceGenie is designed to be user friendly and affordable, making it accessible for independent hotels and allowing them to compete with larger chains. Almost all RoomPriceGenie clients choose to automate their pricing using its property management systems or channel manager, with updates happening 12 times a day.

 

What the industry says Stephen Dorman, owner of the Alexandra hotel in Weymouth, says: “In terms of time-saving, I now have an extra hour a day, but this is inconsequential compared to the increase in revenue that I’ve had. I started using the system in January and in February my revenue was almost double the previous year.

RoomRaccoon offers a bespoke pricing package

What the industry says The Bull Auberge is an 11-room boutique hotel in Suffolk. It faces intense competition from larger properties in the area for weddings, so owners Jake and Katy Berridge looked for a property management system that included dynamic pricing, rather than having to integrate a third-party system.

SiteMinder launches Dynamic Revenue Plus with IDeaS

What is it? Dynamic Revenue Plus (DRP) is a comprehensive revenue management solution within the SiteMinder platform that incorporates pricing recommendations powered by IDeaS.

 

What does it do? Real-time mobile notifications alert hoteliers about opportunities such as upcoming events, sudden changes in demand or competitor rate adjustments.

 

DRP also offers bulk room rate updates, new minimum base rates and lengths of stay, sales restrictions, inventory adjustments and new marketing promotions, which can all be done on mobile or desktop.
