Crystaltech managing director Derek Maher appointed CEDA board director

Derek Maher from warewash installer and service company Crystaltech has been appointed as one of the board directors for the Catering Equipment Distributors Association (CEDA).

Maher has over 36 years of experience in the commercial catering and pub industry where he is regarded as one of the leading experts in his field.

As well as working in all areas of the hospitality industry, Maher also carries out consultancy work with independent pub auditor Cask Marque, as well as ensuring leading pub groups, such as Fullers, Greene King, Stonegate and McMullen's, achieve award-winning clean glass results across their entire estates.

Kevin Davis, CEDA chairman, commented: "The new appointments to CEDA's board come at a time when the association is delivering on its 22 for 2022 strategic vision, launched in April, to make it the focal point for foodservice equipment operators who need design, equipment, installation and service for their operations.

Derek has huge expertise in technical advice and service support, and this adds to CEDA's edge in technical areas, which is more and more important to our members and their clients in improving their customer offer and operating efficiency."
