Brakes Catering Equipment is set to scale up its business with a site reorganisation, staff restructure and recruitment programme that will enable it to provide even greater support to its customers in healthcare, education, hospitality and leisure sectors.
A reorganisation of the company's Leeds operation has doubled warehouse capacity, with improved availability for next day deliveries.
Early customer feedback on the recent changes has been extremely encouraging, say Brakes, with increased satisfaction levels and an immediate uplift in top line sales. To cope with the increase in sales, Kevin Finlay has taken up the role of channel head, joining from Enterprise Foods, where he led the sales function of a local sourcing food management organisation.
He said: "I am managing the end to end offer as we go through the process of scaling up the business. It is an exciting time to be working for the company: we are strengthening the commercial support that we offer our customers, growing the product range and adding further value to our proposition."
