Cleaning products supplier BioHygiene has been awarded Global GreenTag HealthRate platinum-rated status (asthma and allergy).

Global GreenTag is a globally recognised eco-certification body aiming to cut through greenwashing. Its mission is to empower consumers and businesses to make planet- and health-friendly choices by ensuring all products certified under its name meet high standards of environmental and health performance.

BioHygiene believes this recognition strengthens confidence in its business practices and provides customers with the assurance they are using eco-certified products designed to protect both the planet and human health.

Global GreenTag product health declarations (PHDs) mean that certified products are genuinely healthy; have undergone stringent toxicity evaluation; use a simple colour key to communicate risks; identify potential risks; and clearly explore health and environmental toxicity.

The platinum certification signifies the healthiest options, free from toxic implications and using only the safest or most natural ingredients, verified by external third-party toxicologists for reliability.

BioHygiene director of chemistry and innovation Carolyn Jones said: “We consciously chose to work with Global GreenTag to gain this prestigious accolade as we strongly believe this globally recognised and rigorous certification that considers both user and environmental safety allows us to demonstrate most effectively our commitment to delivering planet positive, innovative, safe and sustainable cleaning solutions.

“The journey to accreditation has been a long one, but it has been reassuring to have been guided and supported by such consummate professionals who have truly understood and supported our vision.”

BioHygiene’s products include kitchen sanitisers, detergents and cleaners for ovens, fabric and wood.
