Hospitality Action initiative Walk for Wellbeing is celebrating its fifth year with additional 20km walks in Oxford, Cardiff and Liverpool
Walk for Wellbeing is expanding to three new cities this year as it marks the fifth year of the project to raise awareness of wellbeing in hospitality.
This year the Hospitality Action initiative, first created by Craig Prentice from recruitment firm Mum, is being held in Oxford, Cardiff and Liverpool, in addition to Oxford, Bath/Bristol, Cardiff, Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester and Glasgow.
Taking place on 13 October, each 20km walk will promote mental health while raising funds for industry charity Hospitality Action.
Prentice said: "There is an essential need for hospitality businesses industrywide to prioritise the mental health and wellbeing of their employees – our industry’s continued success relies on it. Walk for Wellbeing is a grassroots movement that promotes selfcare as well as encouraging good employment practises, and it’s rapidly gaining national prominence.
“Community is at the core of hospitality; Walk for Wellbeing connects people locally, raises awareness, educates, unites, nurtures and empowers our community. We invite everyone to join this movement across the UK.”
