Tom Kerridge is to launch a two-course, £15 set lunch menu at three of his restaurants from 5 September amid the cost of living crisis.
Kerridge’s Bar & Grill at Corinthia London in Whitehall, the Michelin-starred the Coach in Marlow and the Bull & Bear in Manchester will offer the “too good to be true” deal.
A third course can be added for an extra £7.50.
The same menu will be served at all three sites, under the leadership of chefs Nick Beardshaw, Sarah Hayward and Connor Black.
Classic pub and school dinner favourites, such as cottage pie, lasagne, caramelised onion sausage and jam roly poly, will be available.
Kerridge started a similar initiative during the 2008 financial crisis when “people were very worried about the money in their pockets”. The chef said he launched a one choice lunch menu “that made absolutely no money but filled the pub with noise, excitement and laughter”.
In 2022, he hopes to have the same impact. Kerridge said: “The aim is to get the excitement and buzz back into restaurants without guests having the fear of spending too much money. A taste of the good times at a fraction of the price.
"Please come and join us, and most importantly, make a booking in London, Manchester or Marlow.”
