We are looking to engage an experienced individual or company with the vision to develop a sustainable and quality catering service in one of St Albans' best known landmark buildings.
The 1831 Grade II-listed Town Hall is situated right in the heart of the city with an existing footfall of over 4 million per year. The original Neo-Palladian 185 sq m Chandelier Assembly Room, Council Chamber, Georgian Courtroom and Prison Cells, plus a newly excavated basement gallery, are to become the city's new museum and art gallery, with an anticipated opening date of late 2017/early 2018.
The successful catering organisation will have the opportunity to provide a range of services including inside and outside daily catering, plus event catering across three floors of galleries and exhibition spaces. It is important that we have a commercial partnership. You will be required to work with us and to ensure we successfully deliver our aspiration of creating a focal point for culture in St Albans city centre.
Applicants who wish to express an interest should do so by submitting the appropriate completed pre-qualification questionnaire available on the council's e-tendering portal: Supply Hertfordshire/In-Tend.
For informal discussions please contact Richard Shwe, head of commercial development, on 07825 680056 or email Richard.Shwe@stalbans.gov.uk
Closing date for the receipt of questionnaires: Friday 28 October
