The revolving tasting menu restaurant is targeting expansion across the UK.
Nico Simeone’s Six by Nico restaurant group will open its first venue in Bristol in early February.
The group, known for its themed six-course tasting menu concept that changes every six weeks, will launch a site at Quakers Friars.
Simeone opened his first restaurant in 2017 with the aim of offering more accessible tasting menus to a mass market. Prices start from £44 per person, with a matching wine pairing for £30 a head.
Current menu themes include ‘the Chippie’, a twist on fish and chip shop classics including a deep-fried Mars bar, and ‘Nostalgia’, which includes tributes to Blockbuster video and childhood camping trips.
Simeone said: “We’re excited to be part of the local dining scene and to share our passion for innovative, high-quality food with the people of Bristol.
“When we launched our ‘At Home’ service during the pandemic, we saw a strong connection with the local community, which made this opening feel like a natural next step.”
Six by Nico has grown to 16 UK restaurants in locations including Glasgow, Belfast, Cardiff, London, Manchester and Oxford.
The group has also lodged plans to open in Nottingham, according to Insider Media.
Last year, Simeone said he was planning a “significant expansion” of the business after reporting a £4.4m profit and £30m turnover in the year to June 2022.
His wider Six Company includes the Somewhere by Nico bars in Glasgow and Edinburgh.
