Rosa's Thai Cafe has revealed plans to extend its out of London portfolio as new openings push up turnover.
The company's financial results for the year to 31 March 2018 showed sales of £11.8m, up from £8.2m, with pre-tax profits slipping slightly from £722,498 to £705,375. EBITDA stood at £1.6m, up from £1.4m.
The year saw the group launch four new sites, with a further three openings since the end of the period. Going forward, it plans to bring five new sites a year to market.
One of the sites to open following the close of the period was in Bluewater, Kent. The group has said the response to the restaurant shows the concept is well received outside the capital, where it expects many future restaurants to be.
April 2017 also saw the group launch takeaway and delivery brand Saiphin's Thai Kitchen.
Alex and Saiphin Moore opened the first Rosa's in London's Spitalfields in 2008. In June 2018 global private equity firm TriSpan acquired a majority stake in Rosa's Thai Cafe.
