Restaurateur Richard Caring is set to open a sister site to London’s Sexy Fish restaurant in Miami this autumn.
The original Sexy Fish opened in London’s Mayfair in 2015 and serves a menu inspired by the seas of Asia, with a focus on Japan.
The Miami outpost in Brickell will serve the same dishes as the original, such as duck salad, vegetarian sushi, smoked tuna belly, crispy eryngii mushroom, black cod, king crab and bone marrow, as well as new dishes all overseen by chef-director Bjoern Weissgerber.
Like the London site, the new venue will be “glamorous and opulent”, designed by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, with 10 artworks by Damien Hirst as well as a fish lamp installation by Frank Gehry, a gold ceiling and a fish tank. A destination bar will boast the United States’ largest Dom Perignon selection, alongside Opus One wines.
Caring also owns London private members’ club Annabel’s and is a major shareholder in Soho House group.
