The group has continued to invest in its hotels throughout the year.
Hotel, spa and golf club operator the Exclusive Collection saw a rise in revenue last year driven by strong demand for meetings and conferences.
The group owns nine properties including luxury hotels Pennyhill Park in Surrey, South Lodge in West Sussex, and Ansty Hall in Warwickshire.
Pre-tax profits dropped from £7.2m to £2.2m in the year ended 31 March 2024, while revenue rose to £64.3m, up from £62.9m the previous year.
Managing director Danny Pecorelli wrote in its accounts that the business has continued to invest in its hotels throughout this year.
This saw the launch of its luxury lakeside suites at South Lodge, which have expanded its capacity to 96 rooms, with wild swimming added to its experiential offering.
The 62-room Ansty Hall, which Exclusive Collection purchased in February 2023, was incorporated into its portfolio this summer following a complete renovation of its public areas, meeting rooms and restaurant.
Many of the bedrooms at Ansty Hall have also undergone a soft refurbishment.
“We are convinced that an offering of quality in this amazing Midlands locations will be a great addition to the group,” said Pecorelli.
Exclusive Collection said the meetings, conferences and exhibitions market had been strong across all its hotels during the year while it hosted a large number of wedding receptions to clear the final Covid backlog.
The group is continuing to grow its membership offering and said there had been “very positive growth” across its golf and wellness offering at its two spas.
Exclusive Collection’s hotels hold 14 AA rosettes between them, and three of its restaurants have been awarded Michelin stars.
South Lodge won the Sustainable Hotel of the Year award at the 2023 Hotel Cateys.
