José Pizarro to take over Claude Bosi's Swan Inn

José Pizarro will be transforming the Swan Inn in Esher into a Spanish pub, taking over the site from Claude Bosi.

Chef Bosi has run the Surrey pub for the last three years with his brother Cedric, having reopened it in 2016 after extensive refurbishment as a 55-cover gastropub with five rooms in the converted barn next door.

The pub, which will close for two weeks ahead of relaunching in early March, will offer breakfast, tapas, and an a la carte menu. Al fresco dining will be available in the warmer months with an outside kitchen and food cooked over open fires.

The menu will feature tapas such as croquetas, tortilla and Jamón Ibérico, and the a la carte menu will feature classic pub dishes with a twist alongside signature regional Spanish dishes using locally sourced produce.

Pizarro (pictured) said: "We found amazing enthusiasm for a Spanish restaurant to come into Esher. So we will essentially be bringing a mixture of the best of my London restaurants as a basis for the food we will serve here."

There will be a wide selection of real ales and draught beers, and wines will predominantly be of Spanish origin with a small selection of European and English wines.
