Pret A Manger has announced its first Veggie Pret outside London will open in Manchester's Deansgate next month.
The sandwich chain opened its first Veggie Pret in Soho on Broadwick Street in 2016 to show it was "serious about providing veggie and vegan options" and has since opened two more sites on Exmouth Market and Great Eastern Street.
The news follows the announcement earlier this year that owner Bridgepoint Capital will be selling the chain to global investment firm JAB (which owns Kenco, Douwe Egberts and Krispy Kreme) for a reported £1.5b.
Pret A Manger opened its first site in London's Hampstead in 1984 and now has 530 stores worldwide. In its latest set of financial results the company reported a 34th consecutive quarter of like-for-like sales growth as the company continues to expand and revenues of £878.5m.
