It marks the group’s 11th restaurant opening following on from recent launches in Bicester Village, Oxfordshire, and Geneva
Ottolenghi will be launching a restaurant in London’s Richmond at the end of the month with an extensive private dining and workplace catering offering.
It comes after the restaurant group secured planning permission to open the deli in January 2024, citing an estimated cost of “up to £2m”.
Ottolenghi Richmond marks the restaurant group’s 11th site in a period of rapid expansion for the business, following on from recent openings in Bicester Village, Oxfordshire and Geneva.
There will be a selection of bespoke Richmond-inspired dishes alongside classics such as Ottolenghi shakshuka with smoked labneh and grilled focaccia, char-grilled broccoli with chilli and garlic and roasted aubergine with caponata and herby cashew cream.
It will also offer an extensive catering menu suitable for both private dining and workplace catering, available to pre-order or delivery via Slerp and Deliveroo.
Ottolenghi has hinted at its ambitions to bolster the foodservice arm of its business “across both B2B and B2C” customers within Greater London in recent years.
Last year, the group also expanded its event catering services to the Cotswolds and Oxfordshire following the launch of its Bicester Village site.
Menu items include salads, breakfast spreads, cakes, pastries, sweet and savoury canapés and even dinners.
Ottolenghi Richmond was designed by long-time collaborator Alex Meitlis, who has designed every Ottolenghi site in London, as well as the recent Ottolenghi restaurant in Geneva.
Yotam Ottolenghi said: “It took longer than we expected, but we are finally here! In picturesque Richmond, the happiest place to live in London, I hear. I love walking along the river in the summer and I can’t wait to be here in all seasons, get to know the local crowd and feed them some seriously delicious salads and cakes.”
Ottolenghi Richmond opens on 26 February.
Ottolenghi was founded by Yotam Ottolenghi and Sami Tamimi in London’s Notting Hill in 2002.
