This week's openings include Indian Accent, the Blue Posts, Dishoom Kensington and more.
Indian Accent
The London outpost of chef-restaurateur Manish Mehrotra's Indian Accent restaurant has opened in Mayfair. Owned by Ekatra Hospitality Ventures, a subsidiary of Old World Hospitality Group, the restaurant has opened on Albemarle Street and follows the New Delhi restaurant, which opened in 2009, and the New York outpost, which opened in 2016.
The restaurant serves reinterpretations of traditional Indian dishes, such as soya keema quail egg, lime leaf butter pao, and Kashmiri morels, walnut powder and Parmesan papad. The menu also offers rarer Indian foods as well as creative spins on British classics, such as black pudding kulcha flatbreads.
The restaurant combines materials familiar in Indian architecture, such as brass and marble, with combed pearl-lustered plastered walls and crushed green velvet upholstery. There is a private dining room for 12-15 covers.
Opened 14 December
