Hilton is set to launch its Canopy brand to the UK next autumn with the opening of the Canopy London City.
The 342-bedroom lifestyle hotel was originally expected to open last year. It will form part of the £76m Minories development in Aldgate, which is still under development, overseen by architectural firm Acme.
Owned by 4C Hotel Group, the property will be operated by RBH and is expected to have a rooftop restaurant and a locally inspired deli/café. The development will also include an office building, pub and residential block.
4C owns eight hotels in and around London, including the Kensington Court hotel, EasyHotels in Victoria and Paddington, the Holiday Inn Camden Lock and the Holiday Inn Express in St Albans. It also owns the Westin London City hotel, due to open next year.
