Andrew Birch has been appointed executive chef of Ellenborough Park, joining the five-AA-star hotel from the same role at Lainston House in Winchester.
Having joined the 61-bedroom property in Cheltenham earlier this week, he will oversee all food offerings at the hotel, including the Horsebox, fine dining in the Restaurant and afternoon tea in the Great Hall.
Ellenborough Park's general manager Marwan Hemchaoui said there are "exciting things to come for the hotel's food offering" and he is "looking forward to revealing more in the forthcoming months".
Birch replaces David Williams, who has been with the hotel for the past two years. He joined Lainston in 2017 from Fishmore Hall in Ludlow where he was head chef; he also worked at the three-AA-rosette Montagu Arms hotel in the New Forest as senior sous chef.
