Joanne Tattum, Corporate Growth & Partnership Manager at Moneypenny, shares her thoughts on the newly launched awards and the value of recognising guest service professionals
At Moneypenny, delivering exceptional customer experiences is part of our DNA. As the leaders in switchboard outsourcing and more, we know that brilliant service starts with brilliant people—and creating an environment where they can thrive. It’s why our award-winning culture has always been the beating heart of our business.
Our people are everything. We believe that when employees feel valued, supported and empowered to grow, they create lasting impressions – just like Lynn, our very first PA appointed back in 2000, who today greets visitors as our front-of-house receptionist with the same warmth and professionalism that defines us.
This is why we’re thrilled to continue our support as principal partner for the newly launched Corporate Guest Services Awards. The evolution of the award – from recognising exceptional receptionists to now celebrating a broader range of guest service professionals—feels like a natural and much-needed step forward for the industry.
I’m honoured to return as a member of the judging panel again this year. The competition has always been a highlight in my calendar, and I know first-hand just how much talent and dedication exists across front-of-house teams. These individuals play such a critical role in shaping brand experiences, yet are so often the unsung heroes of the workplace.
What excites me most about the new format is the introduction of two categories this year: Receptionist of the Year and Leader of the Year. It’s a fantastic opportunity to celebrate not only those who deliver outstanding guest experiences day in, day out, but also the inspirational managers and team leaders who guide, motivate, and elevate their teams behind the scenes.
Each year I’m blown away by the calibre of nominees – people who combine professionalism, personality, and passion to deliver memorable service. These awards shine a light on their impact, and I couldn’t be prouder to be part of it.
