Miriam Varoli has been appointed general manager of Andaz London Liverpool Street.
She has worked for Hyatt for 25 years, having started at Hyatt Hotels Corporation at Grand Hyatt Melbourne, Australia, her home country. She has since moved around properties across the globe, including Grand Hyatt Cairo and Grand Hyatt Singapore.
Varoli was most recently general manager of Hyatt Regency Osaka and Hyatt Regency Kyoto, as well as being on special projects for the Hyatt Asia Pacific leadership team at the Hong Kong hub.
She will now be leading the 267-room Andaz in London, which has five F&B outlets and 15 meeting and event spaces.
Her appointment also marks a return to London, as she started her career in hospitality at the Ritz in Mayfair.
Varoli said: “From the moment I stepped inside Andaz London, I have been mesmerised by the uniqueness of the hotel. The property is exciting and the neighbourhood is buzzing. I am looking forward to being part of this truly special group of committed and caring colleagues to offer continued excellence of service.”
