MasterChef 2016 semi-finalist Elizabeth Cottam has partnered with Mark Owens, former head chef at the Michelin-starred the Box Tree in Ilkley, to open a restaurant in Leeds.
Home is expected to open this Friday (18 August) serving dishes celebrating British produce, such as smoked venison tartare, carrots, liquorice; cauliflower risotto, sage, truffle; and BBQ pork, relish, corn.
Menus will change on a monthly basis, from three-course lunch menus (£30pp), through to five- and 10-course tasting menus for £50 and £70, respectively.
A monthly guinea pig dinner party concept will also launch where guests can book to dine, but will not be given a menu for the evening.
A chef's table will also be available for guests to hire.
Cottam said: "After MasterChef
After meeting at the Box Tree, Cottam and Owens went on to work together at the New Ellington hotel in Leeds city centre.
Mark added: âWeâre coming at this with a âHomer by name, home by natureâ approach and our monthly-changing menus will be a true celebration of everything Great British produce has to offer. Weâve spent a lot of time working together on our first menus and I know that weâve found the very best that the country has to offer.â
