He takes over from Tim O’Neill, who oversaw the caterer from 2010, having navigated its sale to Aramark UK in 2023
Jon White has been appointed managing director at contract caterer Graysons, taking over from Tim O’Neill who has stepped down after 15 years.
White’s appointment also comes after Aramark UK acquired Graysons for an undisclosed sum in 2023. It now sits in the group’s workplace and curated companies division.
He brings with him more than 40 years’ industry experience, having been part of the founding team at Graysons back when it started in the late 2000s.
White returned to the business in 2022 as operations director and in recent years has played a significant role in strengthening client relationships across different venues, visitor attractions and workplace sites.
He will continue to elevate the Graysons brand and develop local supplier partnerships as managing director.
Janet Wigley, managing director of Aramark UK workplace and curated companies, said: “Jon’s appointment reflects our confidence in the future of Graysons. His deep understanding of the business, values-driven leadership and unwavering commitment to excellence and culture make him ideally placed to lead Graysons into its next phase. He will achieve great things.”
White added: “Graysons has always been close to my heart, and I’m honoured to step into this new role. I’m incredibly proud of the distinct identity we’ve built, rooted in our brilliant team, loyal clients and values that set us apart. I’m excited to build on that legacy, with the backing and support of Aramark as we continue to grow in our own way.”
Graysons was founded by Sir Francis Mackay in 2008 and now caters for the likes of the British Library, the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple and the Royal Air Force Museum.
Aramark UK is a foodservice provider serving more than 260,000 meals daily in sectors ranging from education to entertainment.
