Her appointment comes ahead of the aparthotel and private members’ club’s second London opening, which has been scheduled for 2025.
Aparthotel and private members’ club the Other House South Kensington in London has appointed Ingrid Moreni as general manager.
She takes over from Christian Kaberg, who led the 200-room property for the past 18 months.
The Other House South Kensington opened in July 2022 as an all-suite hotel and “residents club” that positions itself as a second home for guests.
It was launched by the Portfolio Club, a joint venture between real estate investment advisory firm London Central Portfolio and Netherlands Pension provider APG, in 2019, and led by former general manager Simon Drake.
At the time of the launch, the Other House said it would be opening its Covent Garden site in 2023, but this has since been delayed to 2025.
Portfolio Club has also revealed plans to open a property in London’s Belgravia, with the group adding: “Further openings in London and internationally are also in the works.”
Moreni has more than 15 years’ experience in hospitality, having worked for properties such as Autograph Collection’s Montcalm East in London’s Tower Bridge, the Doyle Collection’s Kensington hotel in London’s South Kensington, and Valtur hotels in Mauritius, Italy, Egypt and the Maldives.
Naomi Heaton, chief executive and founder of the Other House, said: “Ingrid’s extensive experience and passion for hospitality make her the ideal leader for the South Kensington team. Given her exceptional track record, we look forward to seeing her apply her dynamic and people-based approach to our first property and help grow the Other House brand.”
Moreni added: “I am delighted to join the Other House South Kensington and work with such a talented and dedicated team. I look forward to building on the strong foundation that the team has laid and to continue to create exceptional experiences for our residents.”
