Search is on for 2012 Young Marketer of the Year

The Hotel Marketing Association (HMA) is on the lookout for a young, talented marketer for one of its most sought-after accolades in its annual awards.

Now in its seventh year, the Young Marketer of the Year 2012 will be presented to a highly motivated member of the hospitality industry, under the age of 30, who has shown creativity and success across a variety of marketing challenges.

Previous winners of the award - who include the 2011 winner Sarah Tobler (pictured), of the Jumeirah Carlton Tower Hotel, - have worked for Hilton International, Principal Hayley Hotels and Conference Venues, Marriott International and Maybourne Hotels.

This year's winner will receive a one-day marketing course of their choice at the Chartered Institute of Marketing in Cookham, Berkshire.

Chairman of the HMA, Linda Moore said: "Winning a marketing award from the HMA is a great accolade for any young hotel marketer and many of our previous winners have progressed very quickly in the industry and are enjoying very successful careers. "

Alongside the Young Marketer of the Year award, the HMA Annual Marketing Awards 2012, sponsored by American Express, will also include the following categories:

â- Best Marketing Activity Hotel Chain
â- Best Social Media Campaign
â- Best Agency Promotion or Campaign

The winners will be announced at the HMA Christmas lunch at London's Savoy Hotel on 17 December.
