The One&Only Resort in Cape Town, South Africa, is set to launch on 4 April, a month ahead of schedule.
The 131-key resort at the city's Victoria & Alfred Waterfront was scheduled to open on 1 May but will now be ready in time for the Easter holidays.
Housed in a seven floor building, One&Only Cape Town will feature a spa with nine treatment suites, a vitality pool, experience showers and a relaxation zone, as well as a fitness centre and swimming pool. There will also be meeting and banqueting facilities catering for up to 200 people.
The resort will feature five dining outlets and will offer the largest wine list in Africa, with 4500 bins.
The restaurants include the first African outlets of Gordon Ramsay Holdings (GRH) and Japanese restaurant group Nobu as well as tapas restaurant Plate, poolside eatery Island Terrace and lobby bar Vista.
Sol Kerzner, chairman and CEO of Kerzner International, which owns the resort, said he was delighted to launch more than four months ahead of the original schedule.
"With Gordon Ramsay and Nobuyuki Matsuhisa lending their talents to this project, I'm confident that this resort will become the ultimate gourmet retreats in South Africa," he said
GRH is launching a Maze restaurant at One & Only Cape Town, marking the restaurant concept's fourth international outlet after sites in London, New York and Prague, with a fifth to follow in Melbourne, Australia, in February 2010.
