Hostmore has confirmed the closure of its 63rd+1st restaurant and cocktail bar in Harrogate due to the “difficult economic climate”.
The group said it was “not seeing the returns” on investment and has decided to focus efforts elsewhere.
A statement from the group said: “We have made the difficult decision to close our 63rd+1st restaurant in Harrogate. Whilst it has been popular with guests, the difficult current economic climate has meant that we are not seeing the returns on our investment that we would expect and we have, therefore, taken the decision to focus our efforts elsewhere. We would like to thank our team members for their hard work, and our loyal guests for their support.”
Karen Barnard, people and culture director, said: “We would like to thank both our loyal guests for their custom and support and our very talented team for their hard work and commitment over the last year. We wish them all the best of luck and success in the future.”
The group, famous for its Fridays brand, formerly TGI Fridays, launched the new cocktail bar and restaurant concept last year with its first site opening in Cobham.
The Harrogate site was the third venue to open, in November 2021, and its closure leaves the group with three sites, in Cobham, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
