This will be the plant-based restaurant’s second site after it opened its 60-cover flagship restaurant last year
Plant-based restaurant Holy Carrot has announced plans to open a second London site.
The vegetable-forward restaurant’s second venue will be located in Old Spitalfields Market and is set to open late 2025.
Holy Carrot was launched by Irina Linovich in 2020 and began as a series of pop-ups and residencies across London and Bicester Village.
This was followed by the launch of a 60-cover flagship restaurant and cocktail bar in London’s Notting Hill in July 2024, with Acme Fire Cult co-founder Daniel Watkins at the helm. Watkins will continue to work with Linovich at the new site.
Linovich said: “I am thrilled to be bringing Holy Carrot to East London. I have always felt the energy and community there is aligned with our vision, bursting with creativity, culture and forward-thinkers. East London has always been about reinvention, and we’re excited to add our own chapter to the story.”
Holy Carrot sources its produce by working with small-scale producers and regenerative farmers. In 2025, the Portobello Road restaurant was added to the Michelin Guide.
