Owners Neal Chainey and Catriona Stenhouse launched the Dorchester small plates restaurant 18 months ago.
Found bistro in Dorchester, Dorset, will close in the next few weeks after 18 months of trading.
Owners Neal Chainey and Catriona Stenhouse cited rising costs and mounting pressures on small businesses as the reason for the closure.
Announcing the news on Facebook, the pair said: “We are absolutely devastated to share that Found will be closing its doors from Monday 23rd December 2024.
"Our decision to close our restaurant has been the hardest, saddest and most stressful decision Neal and I have had to make, we have gone over and over what we could do to avoid this happening.”
They added: “Our time has been cut short just as we were getting somewhere but we are leaving very proud of what we have accomplished in the 18months we have been open."
Found offers modern sharing plates showcasing locally sourced ingredients, with dishes including ham hock croquette, pickled cherry, Roscoff onion; market fish, Jerusalem artichoke, sauce diane and herb gnocchi with tarragon and beurre noisette.
Found is a sister restaurant to private catering service Found & Fine.
