Otherwander Soho offers 566 pods, available at single or double occupancy
A pod hotel charging guests £70 per night has opened its first site in London’s Soho as it targets international growth.
Otherwander at 92 Dean Street offers 566 pods, available at single or double occupancy.
Each ‘nest’, as they are called, features premium bedding, lighting, temperature controls, blackout windows and integrated storage space.
Once guests complete online check-in, they can access their private pods via a QR-enabled Wanderpass stored on their mobile wallet.
According to press materials, the shared bathrooms are “spa-quality”, complete with rain showers and hair dryers, while the social areas and self-serve bar will offer coffee, pastries, snacks and cocktails.
Fredrik Korallus, chief executive of Otherwander Soho, said: “Otherwander Soho represents a distillation of what guests truly need – and should pay for. No frills, no wasted space, no friction. We offer a seamless, fully digitised guest journey, considered design, a comfortable night’s sleep, and exceptional value in the epicentre of one of the world’s greatest cities.”
Otherwander has set out ambitions to expand into “major cities worldwide”.
Its launch comes after Criterion Capital opened the 1,000-bed Zedwell Capsule Hotel Piccadilly Circus in late 2025, which famously sold beds for £30 a night.
At the time, Halima Aziz, head of hotels at Criterion Capital, told The Caterer the capsule hotel offering can directly compete with “the price of an Uber home on a Friday night or a price of a train ticket if you live outside of London”.
